End of Beta, New UX, More features

By Christophe Dujarric, on Jul 27, 2015

The Beta Test, which started back in December, has been a great occasion for us to confront Blackfire to your needs and usage, and to develop further the best PHP profiler ever.

It is now time to officially release the “V1”.

What’s new?

Bye bye Profile Slots!

Your profiles are now nicely arranged in a timeline, showing the history of all the profiles you (or your team) have pushed. New profiles won’t delete the old ones anymore!

Hello Reference Profiles!

From now on, when (or after) profiling a page, you can tag a profile as Reference Profile. From then, you will easily be able to profile the same request and directly compare the result vs. its Reference, which you’ll be able to keep as your baseline until you reach your objectives. The best way of working iteratively! CLI users, please note that the --slot option is now deprecated in favor of --new-reference and --reference. Check our blog post about reference profiles to know more.

Premium access to SQL requests, Network calls

We’ve mentioned those features already, but they were reserved to the Enterprise Edition. You can now subscribe to the Premium Edition, and enjoy these features as well!

Premium access to Teams

Premium users can use server credentials to collaborate on profiling with their colleagues in shared environments, for instance on a company server. Everyone in the team will be able to profile the app, and see each other’s results.

Give Blackfire a try!

We are very excited about these changes and we are eagerly waiting for your feedback.

Happy profiling!
