TYPO3 CMS Core Development Lead Using Blackfire to Speed up Websites
Benni Mack explains how B13 uses Blackfire on a regular basis to monitor and improve the performance of their customer’s sites, and of the TYPO3 Core.
It’s been a while we have the privilege of working with Benni. Suzanne Moog and he have been very active TYPO3 community members, contributing to Blackfire and spreading the love.
Benni wanted to write a series of blog articles on how they used Blackfire at B13 since a while, and finally got a chance to get it started!
Finally arrived! My first blog post in a series about #TYPO3 #performance with @blackfireio https://t.co/ZbVrDRwvrI https://t.co/jLVbYz7jac

The core take away of Benni’s first article:
With Blackfire, what might take me between one and eight hours takes about five minutes: identifying the root cause of the performance bottleneck.

The article introduces in some details how Blackfire works and how it should be used, and explains how B13 preserved the UX of a customer website while finding the root cause of some performance issues. They sped up the site by nearly 7 times.
We think Blackfire is a great addition to TYPO3’s workflow, which is why we use it to test TYPO3 Core. It helps you figure out why your website is running slowly, and what you can do about it.

Looking forward to the next article!
