24 days of Blackfire – Wrap-up

By Christophe Dujarric, on Jan 04, 2016

After this short holiday break, probably filled with joy, family time and too much food for most of us, we’d like to wish you a beautiful 2016 year. May it be filled with joy, quick load times and always more happy web app users.

This is it! Fabien completed the 24 days of Blackfire.

Blackfire empowers all developers and IT/Ops to continuously verify and improve their app’s performance, throughout its lifecycle, by getting the right information at the right moment.

Throughout those 24 days, Fabien went through most of Blackfire’s features, and how they deliver that promise.

He took concrete examples of apps he optimized with Blackfire, such as Gitlist. He showed how Blackfire helps on validating development iterations and understand performance trade-offs. He detailed what is profiling and how to read call graphs. He explained what is time, and why you should forget about it when writing tests. He rolled-out examples of performance unit tests. He demonstrated Blackfire’ SDK and Blackfire Player, our new crawler/scrapper/tester. He showed how to install Blackfire in any environment, and better than that: automate performance management in Development, Testing, Staging and Production.

Have the following good resolution in your 2016 list!

A Blackfire tutorial a day, keeps the performance bottleneck away!
