Blackfire.io on Windows: alpha support

By Christophe Dujarric, on Mar 16, 2016

We’ve had many requests to support Windows, and today we’re very excited to announce an early support! It is available for all PHP versions (from 5.4 to 7).

All of Blackfire’s features are available, including profiling, performance tests and scenarios, on all dimensions (Wall-time, I/O time, CPU time, Memory, Network calls, HTTP requests, SQL requests), and of course with all third party integrations. Some of those features may require the Premium or Enterprise Edition.

We are still working on our continuous delivery process, especially in order to ease the update process for you. But we’re ready to put the Blackfire components for Windows in your hands. And more than that, we’d like as many of you as possible to try it out, and give us feedback!

Here are a few instructions to get you started:

(Blog post updated on 06/07/2016: Windows support is now stable, you can simply follow the installation instructions via our documentation)

Install the Chrome extension

Follow our tutorial here. This step isn’t necessary, as you can also profile your app with the command line `blackfire curl` (which requires curl.exe in your PATH).

Happy performance testing on Windows!
