New Laravel Recommendations

By Jérôme Vieilledent, on Jul 09, 2021

Laravel and its ecosystem keep evolving and growing over time, making PHP applications development more accessible and safe.

At Blackfire, we keep an eye on how most PHP libraries and frameworks evolve, especially in the field of performance and in terms of best practices.

In this regard, we recently added additional metrics and recommendations for Laravel applications. They cover:

  • The debug mode and the debug bar, which should not be enabled in production;
  • Queues, which should not use the “sync” driver;
  • Cache, for which the use of NullStore and ArrayStore should be avoided.

We also added timeline metrics regarding Queues, Logs, and the different Cache stores, which should “illuminate” your Timeline Views 😉.

Recommendations are available for all paid plans (Profiler, Premium, and Enterprise plans). Play with the demo or subscribe now!
