Profile Next Request

By Thomas di Luccio, on May 10, 2022

Blackfire Monitoring is at the heart of the Continuous Observability suite we provide. It relies on the aggregation of multiple levels of data, from the simple Monitoring Traces to the Extended ones and the full Profiles.

Every day, a list of the top 10 most impactful transactions will be computed and passed on to the Probe. An Automatic Profile will be triggered for each of those transactions.

Those profiles, along with those triggered manually or with a Blackfire Build, will enrich the Monitoring data and allow the computation of Recommendations. Blackfire Recommendations are unique, actionable insights on improving the Performance, Security, or Quality of your application’s code.

The “Profile Next Request” button allows you to trigger a profile from the Monitoring Dashboard. Once configured, the next matching request will be profiled.

All Monitored Transactions are now eligible

The feature used to have some limitations some of our customers may have experienced.

We are thrilled to announce that all requests are now eligible for the “Profile Next Request” feature. Whatever the context (Web or CLI), and however the transactions have been named, it is now possible to request a Profile for them from the Monitoring Dashboard.
