Single Command Line Setup on Magento Cloud

By Beau Simensen, on Nov 21, 2018

We’re very excited to announce the release of v1.22.0 of Magento Cloud’s CLI!

As Blackfire is an OEM partner of Magento Cloud, all customers get an Enterprise-grade access to Blackfire. Thanks to Platform.sh’s technology, it makes it possible for them to automatically profile and test the performance of their eCommerce sites, any time they push a change on a feature branch, or deploy to staging or production.

Blackfire’s integration capacities are very flexible. Especially our webhooks enable Enterprise customers to start profiling automatically in a wide variety of test pipelines.

Now we believe in software that just works, with the smallest amount of configuration and questions. This is why we have been collaborating with Platform.sh and Magento, and contributed to the Magento CLI utility.

From v1.22.0 onwards, a single command line will automatically 1. Configure the Blackfire server credentials on the appropriate Magento Cloud environments 2. Configure the triggering of Blackfire builds whenever a change is pushed on a Magento Cloud environment:

magento-cloud blackfire:setup

This replaces a configuration documentation which has always been too long in our opinion. We thrive to make docs as robust and helpful as we can. And we thrive to make them as un-necessary as we can, as well!

Happy performance testing on Magento Cloud!
