Introducing Karl
Karl lived and worked in Canada, America, Japan, and Germany.
He has worked in tiny companies, and companies with thousands of people, but finds startups are definitely the most fun!
His favorite engineering environment is at the system level or bare metal.
Why joining Blackfire?
I joined Blackfire because I like the people and culture there, and because I’m passionate about performant code. Software performance has long been an under-appreciated metric. but that’s changing now that Moore’s Law no longer holds and software needs to scale to reach millions.

Karl joined Blackfire to work on the C-level part of the software. His extensive background and experience in system level software development are an amazing addition to the team.
With Karl, Blackfire is accelerating the developments of the Blackfire probes for building the next generation Application Performance Management suite, from profiling to monitoring, and start reaching out to additional markets, on top of PHP.
