Contributing to Blackfire

Where Blackfire is all about giving you detailed information about the exact behaviour of your PHP code, performance recommendations bring it to another level. They are all about letting you know straight up, without even digging into a profile, if we detected some bad practice in your code. And of course, they can be framework-specific.

Where we do have some expertise in PHP in general, and in Symfony in particular, that’s not necessarily the case for other frameworks, like Drupal, Laravel, Magento…

So far:

  • we covered Performance, Quality and Security recommendations for PHP, performance recommendations for Symfony & performance recommendations for Magento (1, 2, CE & EE)
  • EvolvingWeb built the Drupal 7 & Drupal 8 performance recommendations
  • eZ.no covered themselves recommendations for eZ Platform
  • Susanne Moog created the Typo3 performance recommendations

Blackfire needs you!

By using Blackfire and writing your own performance tests, we’re sure you can show your expertise to the rest of the community, and let them benefit from it! Want to see one of your tests be part of the Blackfire recommendations? Reach out to us!

We’re especially looking for new recommendations in Laravel and Magento 2!

Happy performance testing,

Christophe Dujarric
